Can I use it to promote my site?
How can I do it?

I noticed from my experience of last week,
that about 8% of the traffic of my site comes from the rss feed.
Really nice, hope that it will increase when more people subscribe to the feed

You can promote your site by submit site details in Rss feed sites and also track traffic from that site for your site.

RSS refer to viral marketing technique and refer to news to intimate to your subscriber client or customer. content should be regular update .

Yes rss feeds promotion will helps you to get more subscribers. You can also promote it by providing feed URL in your e-mail signatures too.

I have visited your site "rss feed image" is just mentioned as RSS feeds in top right corner of the page. Normal users doesn't know what it is used for. So better you can mention it as "Get regular update of my games by clicking this" kinda phrase.
