Hi there,

A lot of you may be struggling to get backlinks from authority sites i.e. .edu and .gov sites.

Links from these sites, as im sure you know, give you a lot of "SEO Juice" when it comes to google rankings.

Here is the google command to help you find blogs that you can comment on that are on .edu and .gov sites.

Please do not post spam on these blogs, your comment will not be displayed and you will just be wasting your time. The best thing to do is read the article first and post a helpful contribution to the blog.

Use these commands in google search.....

For .edu sites...
site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” "KEYWORD"

Replace "KEYWORD" with your niche markets keyword.

For .gov sites...
site:.gov inurl:blog “post a comment” -”comments closed” -”you must be logged in” "KEYWORD

Replace "KEYWORD" with your niche markets keyword.

fyi, a .edu like is the same as a .com link
I wouldn't waste my time trying to find content by the TDL, I would worry more about the content

.edu , .gov .com or what so ever doesn't have any difference for SEO use. and there is also no such thing as SEO juice.

As you said , this is a little difficult , why , for your comments always spammed . for it is not meaningful , or you need some time to read the article then leave a useful comment here .

Who says .edu and .gov links are same as .com
these links are more powerful then .com links

This is ok but they don't live the comments generally
they catch the ip and understand that we are here for marketing.

If you make helpful contributions to the post and dont post spammy comments like "nice site" or "i like your blog" then your comment won't be deleted.

You have to actually READ the article before commenting on it and if someone has already said what your going to write.....dont write it!!

If you stick to those guidelines you will have 1,000's of quality backlinks =)

Oh by the way a lot of blogs, wether they are .edu / .gov or not, will have the "nofollow" attribute enabled but you can download a plugin for firefox, from mozilla's website called "NoDoFollow" and it highlights in blue all 'dofollow' links and in red 'nofollow' links so you can see which type of link a blog will provide you without having to go "view source" all the time.

And by the way i used "seo juice" as a figure of speech...I am well aware that backlinks don't produce a kind of fruit/vegetation that you can harvest juice from.

try only forums dude. There is no method to gain links from .gov and .edu websites. Just follow those forums which ends with .edu or .gov and post good comments over there.

There are plenty of methods to gain links from .gov and .edu sites, hence why i started this thread in the first place - To share one of the best ways i have found for getting .edu and .gov links...

I implore you all to READ this thread / post before making a reply - otherwise you are just making it harder for people actually searching for useful tips and advice to find what they are looking for.

Backlinks is really important to once site. The number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest: they indicate who is paying attention to that page.

It's not a difficulty in finding .gov or .edu site. But getting a link from there is much important here

.edu and .gov sites are trusted website. so if you can get a links from all these trusted website, it will be a added advantage for SEO.

I believe that google respect links from .gov and .edu and you can easily get link juice from it by just simply signing up on that site, be a member and participate.
