Can someone explain what is link pyramid..is it a legitimate link building strategy??

sounds like a dodgy scheme to me. Ever wonder why pyramid schemes in the real world are illegal?

The Idea behind the Link Pyramid is that while link juice can pass from one site to the next, ranking penalties generally stop after one hop.

You all really have to stop falling for this garbage and start using some common sense.

Once five nodes have been identified as belonging to such a scheme the rest will also get blocked from passing any "value" and the "pyramid" falls apart.

Pages don't get "penalised" as such, they are simply removed from the "link graph" so pass no value on to other pages.

Just found this statement to other webiste - The main thing that you need to keep in mind is that your pyramid should be developed by Google as a natural result. You can not force the construction of the left, just because of a link pyramid. Link building is a pyramid of the most fashionable nowadays SEO strategies,! but also one of the most effective.

This will not last long and is considered a black hat strategy.
