What was the 3 biggest rookie mistakes you made when you first started in Internet Marketing.

For example mine was

1. Doing too many things at once.
2. Impatience to achieve results.
3. Believing the hype before the facts.

True, many guys are so impatient and they left this career after they keep going 1 month or 2 and earned little. I'm impatient, too. I can't waiting add more contents to my websites, but I have to follow the schedule.

I can't really think of 3 right off the top, but one I've done that clearly sticks out is biting off more than I can chew and spreading myself too thin.

I created dupicate content issues while creating my WP sites.

When I first started out, the 3 biggest rookie mistakes I have made are:
(1) Lack of focus
(2) Lack of time management (doing a lot of non-productive stuffs)
(3) Lack of consistent actions

Does anyone share the same mistakes as me?

Well I think my biggest mistake is the number one as you said doing too many things at a time.It affects on the quality of tasks.

1. Not Organize
2. Lack of Focus
3. Messed up Billing file.

Lol...
Using automatic posting to help clients in upgrading the ranking.
It killed 2 years of organic viral marketing and burried the sites.
The bots ...and the hell coming with them.

for me it was:

~1~too many niches, no research!
~2~getting into the adult marketing industry (horribly over saturated market)
~3~joining a bunch of affiliate programs

thankfully though, I didn't spend too much money on software, scripts or hosting. Everything still manages to pay for itself.

I lacked discipline and was spending a lot of time in research without giving enough time to experiment.Secondly ,there was no planning and I still lack focus.

By far the biggest mistake to online marketing is ignorance. There is no reason someone should make the mistakes listed in this forums because if you werent ignorant, you would have read these forums before doing something stupid.
