you mean promotion?

the options are massive: link building, advertising... you name it. You just need to get your site name out there.

The key really is to make a great site, with great content, and the rest will follow.

well forums and blog commenting spring to mind, but they're low value links. Great content is the best link builder - build content that people want to link to.

Backlinks are the way forward which is what everyone else has already suggested. However, from what edgray has suggested, "quality" is key.

I have found that getting in touch with some websites that have related content and asking to share links (reciprocal links) can help boost your page's success on Google. Just find some websites that have related content and view their "Contact Us" page and email the company or owner to see if they would be interested in helping each other. You might not always get a reply but if you do then it's usually worth your time.

Start with directory submissions,this is easy and free and will help you position your site.Followed by bookmarking sites like Digg & Propeller.Then write articles and submit to article directories and press release sites(check the sticky thread here with the list of PR sites)Start making Social Media profiles for your websites..like LinkedIN,FB and Twitter...Remember SEO needs relentless effort with slow results..so be patient.

Forum and link building can be an good method to increase website traffic, you can also try social networking such as twitter, face book. These sites gets heavy traffic and can divert into your website if you build up your own network here.
