Hi All,

I am designing an advertising website that allows purchasing ad space for different styles of advertisements. The ads will utilize impressions, clicks or time ( start / end date ). I am having a problem trying to figure out a category system that is not too many (say 20 or under) categories that will sum up pretty much everything there is to advertise online. Is that possible? Anyone have some good categories they are willing to share? I will allow free banner / button / flash / javascript advertising on my site once it's completed. For each category I use, I will allow a banner of your choice to be advertised on my site. Also, text based advertising is available as well.

Thanks for your time!
Brian

I think it is better to be specific on the niche to make the user comfortable looking for what they want...

Start off with one or two general categories and extend as necessary.
Having a lot of empty categories does not look enticing to potential advertisers.

Ok, I am going to start off small, I think one category will do fine as long as I am able to expand as needed.

Thanks Chris!
It's those little things that go a long way...

I think it is always better to start with general ones and then expand later on.
