How can I get the best results using tycoon talk

I'm new here and wondering what exactly this forum can do for me. I run a few websites already, can it help with that? Or is this to give me suggestions for doing new ways of business on the internet. Or both?

First thing is to watch and learn the few posters here who actually know what they're talking about : 99% of posters just spout the same old claptrap without reading the original post or other replies in a thread. Look also at Talkupation - it can be a good guide.
Look through existing threads on the subjects you're interested in. Be wary: 75% of threads end up in an argument about do-follow links. Glean what info you can from the posters you've come to respect and then, if you need more info, ask a well-thought out question with a good thread title. Be as specific as you can and you may get reasonable answers. Good luck  |

Most of the time yes, but not all the time. Reputation levels aren't a good indication about a persons knowledge, as I've seen some junk posters on other forums with high rep levels and all they do is spew out copy pasted junk claiming it as their own.
A good indication is to actually read what people are saying. A tried and true method is the old saying of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't". And I would recommend anyone to listen to what Chris Hirst has to say on some of the subjects here, as he definitely knows what is what. |

Forum is the source of experience and information, as well as the place where the representatives of companies may meet potential clients

It depends on your intention of participating in the forum. With my experience,I can say that all those free SEO tutorials/pdfs/videos are not as worthwhile as participating in forums.Its sad many forums are losing their lustre due to increasing number of posters present to just drop their link without even caring to understand the thread.

Although I do not disagree with the basic premise...I do not think that the "put out or get out approach" wins us any friends......
I have seen, as you have , all those "thanks, great information, etc." that tend to clutter up a forum and ad no value.....
But I also believe that some of those folks will "catch on" to forum etiquette given a little time......
We, as a community, and not just mods, can push the "undesirables" away, while at the same time, encourage the legitimate new member.....
