Small business owners are much better at achieving transparency than those in the corporate sector. However, if a business owner doesn’t understand engagement, it’s possible that transparency is lost as well.
The social media audience wants to see the people behind the brand. Therefore, it’s time to remove those filters and humanize your business. What makes YOU unique? What do you enjoy? What are your fears and dreams? These are questions we can all relate to, regardless of whether we can identify with your product or service.

Yes, any brand should be personalized. nit by any names, but by the features making it attractive. Service may not be unique, but the quality and style may.

It is important to show off the features others do not have. Even if you do not have them as well.

Communicate with your funs and followers, answer their questions, do not only promote your stuff purely, write about your industry news maybe even about your competitors.
In FB people like polls, competitions, try to involve your audience into alive conversation and you will make them your customers.

How amusing is it that FIVE out of the seven respondents (71.4% for the statisticians) to a thread about "Be a person, not just a brand" have usernames that are simply a promotionally branded name.
