I was just chekcing out my traffic stats.

Here's an up and coming search engine Daily Orbit. I've only recieved one visitor from them this month but they seem to be indexing alot of sites. There are over 2 billion in the index and for a small search engine that is an extensive index.

I am just skimming over this, but it looks like almost half of my traffic comes from webmaster forums.

Webmaster-Talk is the highest at about 22% This is the forum I post to the most.
Ozzu is about %5
ahfb2000.com is 4.3%
SEO-Talk is 1%
a few visitors from aka marketing and also a few from some less popular forums.

Here's a cool one ebay is 10.8%
I've been selling on ebay and there is link to the site in the auction. It's part of the auction description.

About 40% of my traffic comes from clickthrus from my own sites.

So where does your traffic come from? Any cool nooks and crannies of the internet?

Interesting. I'll have to look at this Daily Orbit. Most of my traffic comes from backlinks and Google.

Wow, I just submitted to this Daily Orbit and it stated that it will spider my site within 15 minutes. I guess that would explain the 2 billion in their index. There is NO screening, which would explain all of the adult content suggestions when searching for "webmaster tools".

No. I submitted my page as well to see how fast this was. It was spidered and appeared in the engine in less than 15 mins. Obviously, such a site would be a spammer's dream. No one checks to see what kind of illegal or unethical site you submit. Or if you keywords or relevant. A child porn site could have "webmaster tools" in the tags and on the page somewhere and be listed in a search for "webmaster tools."

I get 70% from google
20% from the other engines
10% from forums, BL, blog and promotion offline

of course the visitors from the engines are target traffic ..... from forum, chat etc etc...almost nothing!

I would be a spammer dream if it produced traffic to your website. 1 visitor is not even a consideration. I just kind of through it out because I had not heard of the site.

That's alot of Google traffic.

I think most of search visitors come from MSN. Search is a small percentage of the visitors I get. Mostly I get clicks.

One of my sites does pretty good for search. It gets visitors for 200+ keyphases. It's pretty cool considering I just posted some documents like the Bill of Rights that are publicly available anyway.

you know webspace,
I'd like to get a lot of visitors from MSN....I don't know where I'm wrong but I can not optimize in good way my sites for MSN (recently even GG is changing

). A lot of webmaster say that get the top on MSN is easy but ... for me is difficult...and I tryed so hard! Maybe it's a problem with my style to make webpages (my mistake). I don't want to go OT but...suggestions?

Count the number of inbound links that the top site on MSN has for the keyword you want your site to show up first for and get that many. The links should be keyword specific having the keyword in the link that you want to show up first for.

This one will get you thinking. I changed my signature link from "pop under exchange" to "buy website traffic" and the site shows up 3rd on MSN for "buy website traffic".
20th on Yahoo.

Search is not a large portion of the visitors I get. I can send myself 300-400 visitors per day from my exchange now.

I get many visits from MSN. Tell me Nuke is not SE friendly

I also get some visits from the forums I post in.

For my keywords I am #1 on most of them but in all my keywords atleast top ten and I get more traffic from forums and ezines then I do search engines.... but I do get a lot from searches too so I am not complaining..

finally!
I did a test and finally I'm first with two important keys on MSN! I think that msn doesn't reconize when the BL came frome the same site: google has got the filters, if you have 100 bl from the same site (even in different page) it reconizes just one,msn seems that doesn't use it (the experiment of mine confirms it). If it's like this msn has to improve a lot......

I'd like to be first on google and first on msn with just one key, only to see the real difference NOW between google and MSN. Sure that msn is growing but I think that google is still miles in front!
Do somebody have some statistic datas about it?

For my Photography site, here is the breakdown of the 400,000 page views I've received in the last 30 days:

64.7% The Lens Flare - same site
27.4% Direct Hits (no referer)
4.6% Other Backlinks
2.1% Google
0.4% MSN

Your search engine visitors seems like a very low percentage ot total azkul. You have a nice looking site and PR of 5 so I have to ask have you done much optimisation with it ?
