Hello,

I guess this is my first post here. I just started to build a TV community. The problem is i need some help in bringing in some traffic. Can somebody please explain me step by step what do i have to do ?

Firstly, you need to advertise your site. Submit your URL to search engines - refer to thread http://www.webmaster-talk.com/showthread.php?t=24910 which provided the needed details. The other alternative is via link exchange with other website owners - you can check out the Relevant Link Exchange Forum.

After that you need to wait a while (may take many months!) before traffic starts coming in.

If you can't wait and can afford to pay for traffic, I suggest you check out Google's AdWord program or that of Yahoo!'s.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've added my website to Yahoo, Yahoo Directory, Dmoz and Google. I guess i have to wait now for these. About paying for traffic, i'm not prepared yet

Ok, what should i do next ? Anyone else ?

find other sites with similar goals or target auidence and see if they will allow to exchange links between yourselves, and also try advertise on certian forums so do allow advertising.

check out this program i think the url is websiteceo.com/downloads
It will send your site to loads of search engines and tell you where u are ranked. It has loads of other cool features as well. I use it mainly for my FTP...
