Made this site partly for school credit (programming project), and partly b/c I thought it catered to a need that many have, but don't have it met. Here's a selection from the writeup on the front page:

Quote:
Fact: Sometimes the world around us does not make any sense at all.

Fact: Getting your thoughts down on paper helps.

Fact: You can't carry that notebook around everywhere, you know.

The point is, everyone needs someone or somewhere to sort their thoughts out. I, personally, like to write out what I'm thinking in a notebook. However, it's not really practical to be carrying a notebook everywhere you go, just in case you have the occasion to use it.

Granted, there are a ton of diary websites out there that are free for use, but this is not a diary site where an entire community is peering over your back, reading the story of your life. If this is the kind of thing that you're looking for, you will not find it here. You will, however, find a simple, secure and uncluttered place to get your thoughts "down on paper".
There's more to it, but I'll let you go and explore the site yourself. It's not really finished, but it's perfectly functional and many have benefited from the services offered. And yes, it's entirely free.

After looking over the site, please let me know if you have any suggestions/comments/questions. Member feedback (and non-member feedback) is crucial to bringing a services website to a more mature stage.

Man, to any page that i visit, i'm getting a stupid dialog which asks me to read some forum post, and that forum post is accesible only if your a member. I dont think people will register simply to read a forum post. They want something real. Your idea seems ok, but very ambiguous, and i didnt get even an hint about it by visiting your site.

Another thing, i think your message is in the wrong forum.

Hey guess what i discovered, the site's working in ie, but not in mozilla. Get it working in some of the basic browsers like ie, mozilla or firefox, safari (if you can get mac somewhere), netscape and opera.

No, actually, it works almost perfectly in Mozilla. Check it again. The popup that you were seeing was an unforseen bug that only showed up recently - it's fixed. The popup doesn't show correctly in Mozilla (works "almost perfectly") - my apologies for the bug. However, like I said, it is fixed - have another look.

Yup, this is better, its working fine in mozilla now, and the annoying pop up is also gone. I think, there must have been something which would be cluttering up the data display due to the popup.

"Cluttering up"? It's odd that it would appear for an unsigned guest in the first place... I tested it (the Conversations module) throughly before implementing it, and that issue never came up... Ah well. It's fixed.

The site itself is actually pretty well-developed - I spent quite a bit of time on it, and most who have used it have appreciated the service. Feel free to submit an application for membership - even if you only sign up out of curiosity, you might end up actually using the thing. ^_^
