Hi

I need a bit of help. A friend of mine has asked me to promote his website through different webpages. He has bought 7 domain names and wants to be found under those terms on the search engines. I was thinking of setting up say 2 page websites and redirecting them to his website. Would this work and would the search engines pick those websites up.
Would this just need a redirect and how would I make the 2 pages sites invisible so that none of the customers that are searching see these.

If you are making the pages invisible to humans but stuffing them with "food" for search engines then you are heading for trouble......

The reason that i would be doing this is because his site is full of flash and he thought it would be better to use additional sites for the search engines to get customers to be able to view his flash site.

Is this not a good idea then or is there another alternative route that i could try?

Seven sites to promote one, seems queer. What you could do is that put some 1000 word article in each one of the seven sites, and then provide a link to the flash site on the top and the bottom.

I dont understand how will the customers find your friends site, since you dont keep a link originating from 'the flash site' to the promotor sites.

Try keeping articles in all 7 seven sites diffrent. Try and keep 50% efficiency, i.e. one link to the flash site other to one of the promotor sites, this way, all remain connected and the promoter site does not appear like a spam site. And oh yes, keep black text 12pt on white background, dont even dare to think of invisiblity if google is what you expect will send traffic.

Well, according to me, this is not the best SEO i can think of. There are plenty of free directories already providing you links. You might think quality is what you need, but get real, none of these seven sites stand even a fair chance to get over PR 0, hence the links seem useless.
