Hi there.

If you are a webmaster, chances are that you shall be using articles to get better SE positioning. Even if you aren't, when you search for something specific you generally find articles in your search result. What I wanted to know, how many of you actually READ articles?

This is 'coz i've recently started an e-magazine with the intention of developing a subscriber base which would read articles as they would in a normal physical magazine. I beg not to call it an ezine, 'coz an ezine puts up a picture of more or less what can be described as an article farm. We e-publish only those articles which seem relevant to the topic of the mag. Yet, I find very few honest readers, which would read the article for its content.

What are your opinions on the current trend of ezines?

IMHO, there are far too many article publishers on the web.....it's like a sea of text.......

I have a few site's which I read "most" of the articles. But as you say it's usually if I'm doing a google and stumble across something which seems relevant.

I think if you are having a specific focus and try and stick as close to it as possible, you will gain a readership....this goes back to the time honoured marketing technique of "know your audience". Which by the way is just as relevant today. This is how google have framed the adsense programme, dangle carrots on sites where the interest has already been captured.

I think I may write and article on articles, but where would I submit it too? is there a www.articlecritique.com ???

Well you *could* write an article on the recent surge of, what you mention as the sea of text on the internet. It'll be a topic definately hugging close to the theme of at least my magazine, so you could then submit it there. My outlook about this topic is not that bright, since i'm relatively new to all this stuff and basically finding it difficult to find a foothold in this market.

You know, I may just write it! I like the look of your site, it's different to many out there.....definatly focussing on content rather than sales....well done.

And the articles look quite appealing too!

Thanks for that review. I'd also welcome suggestions so that the overall site experience can be bettered. Besides, great to know that you'll be writing an article about this topic.
