For any website to succeed gaining enough visitor traffic is half the battle won. So far I have a ton of ideas that I'm sharing with everyone free. Does anyone have any unique traffic generating strategies free or paid that they know of?

I've just done the usual....

Join related forums/mailing-lists, use a signature file.... submit to a few high traffic directories etc. I think having a good reason (and an easy way) for visitors to 'tell a friend' is a good idea.

I just do the usual too, slow and steady, a gradual ongoing process, i like learning more about promotoin properly and absorbing it properly.
I just keep doing what it takes and remind myself constantly to be patient.
Checking this forum regularly is most helpful.

SEO is the most powerful way of promotion of the site. Website traffic tips: -
- You should submit or suggest site to search engines.
- You should create backlinks to popular and relevant sites to get immediately benefits from exposures that site recieves.
- Affiliate programs is the great way to get other people as affiliates to promote your site.
- You should always encourage people to pass on information. Word of mouth is the best tool to promote your product and services.

Another thing you can do is build a resource or another unique application that gets visitors to return to your website.

Don't foget about offering a newsletter! This is a great way to keep in contact with your visitors and reminds them about your website.

So are you selling this 1299+ pages that others are contributing to, or are you just building up your email list?
