Great list but it's going to take me ages to post one article to all of them. would an article submission site not be a better idea?

Well i think it looks more natural by submitting individually to each Article directory, it can be time consuming but at least there is a gradual increase of new links back to your site instead of a hundred or more all of a sudden.
I recently submitted an article to 106 article sites individually, and have submitted one of my sites to 556 directories by hand.
I never go for the mass submission option.

one more question

cand articles increase your PR? I mean, you can bring lots of visitors to your site with them, but can articles actually increase your PR? When you submit an article, you create a new page on a site. that page will have PR0, so i dont think that it will be able to help you with some pr unless you write a **** good article and others link to it. but i have read on some forums that it does increase the pr. i am confused

lighe the articles will help to increase your PR. I think new pages actually start with a little and typically the site you submit them to will already have links to that page which will build the PR of that page over time. Same for all the sites that the add the article.

Now having said that it's really like Chris said. PR isn't important. It's fun to look at it it feels good to see the green bar move to the right, but it's not what brings more traffic to your site. The key is to build a site with good content and over time acquire natural and relevant backlinks. And that's just what the articles will do.
