Im suprised to find that the pr on one of my sites has gone down, on pages that were pr3, their now pr2, is that quite normal?

You may have been a victim of the new Google algorithm update. If you were practising any of the black hat techniques for artificially boosting your PR such as - automated back links from irrelevant sites, cloaking or javascript redirects, duplicate contents etc - be careful and stop deceiving the search engine robots. That is the best policy to regain your PR and boost it further.

I can honestly say that i dont practice any shady action to try and trick any search engines, everything i do is by hand, every submission, every link, links are categirized accordingly, very relevant linking too, i guess i should not obsess about one particular thing anyway, having some pr on a page is good, but it dosn't mean everything, if i had pr very high all through my sites but still got nothing from it then it would mean very little.

I will just relax, and remind myself that i run my websites because i do, and to try and make them successful, but im not going to lose sleep over it, its impossible for me to keep up with the ever changing rules and trends.

as long as your quality traffic hasn't been affected it doesn't matter.

It looks like google have made some changesto thier pr algo. I have heard from a few people now that thier pr has dropped. Don't worry about it though.
Visitors, leads and sales are the only stats you need to keep an eye on.
PR is just a number, It dosn't actually mean anything.

A little update on the PR madness

The site that i mentioned that had dropped from pr3 to pr2 has now returned to pr3

And my other site that had pr0 had gone up to pr3 and now back down to pr0

This is all during today, lol

Your PR is not worth what you think it is.

but i have been noticing something funny lately! some of my sites showing pr3 in the morning time and pr0 in the evening, the next morning its pr3 again in the evening pr0!!

similar with other pr2 or even pr1 sites..

is the similar thing happening to someone else? or just me

?

Well the other day when i first mentioned it the pr on both my sites kept on going up and down throughout the day, then they settled, i ended up with the same pr on my site that already had pr, and on the one that started with no pr, it breifly got some then back to pr0, its strange as i created more links for the pr0 site in order to help it out, but nothing, oh well, i dont understand whats going on with pr, more confusing than ever now.

Audioz, Google has recently been doing their latest update and it's very common to see your PR all over the place for a few days while this happens before it eventually settles back down.

As Chris said above your PR is not worth what you think and it's not really worth worrying about. Yes it is nice to see the little green bar move to the right. I admit it makes me feel good too, but PR is not what gets you traffic and more importantly it's not what gets you quality traffic.

Your right vangogh, i agree, i guess its easy to get caught up in things that we think may be important but infact mean very little.
