I was wondering if this product is any good. Considering buying. Do you think the traffic coming from it is any good for a humor directory.

Anyone had any experience with it?

so why would you think some software that will dump link on blogs where they are not wanted and will be deleted or never seen would be of remotely the slightest use??

keep your money in your pocket or buy a lottery ticket, you have more chance of that turning a profit.

Thought so.
And I have read that you have a higher chance of dying on the way to buy the lottery ticket than winning.

I bought Blog Blaster a few months ago and have not recieved even a single visitor sent by them to my site at www.sgfitness.com. Have written to them a few times. They don't even bother to reply a single mail.

Well as a blogger I can say that I get that kind of comment spam all the time. I have my blog configured to not allow comments until I approve them and I'm not about to let those kind of comments to get through. That's why it won't work. If you want to get traffic from a comment you leave on a blog you need to actually read the post and reply with a useful comment.

If you do people will click on the link and give you traffic. Even if the spammy stuff does get past the person who owns the blog why would you think anyone reading it would actually click on the link? It's pretty easy to tell if you're commenting on the post of just submitting comment spam.

I agree most blog owners will delete any SPAM posts as soon as they see them!

I have been playing with a new idea. In the early days of the net and online marketing link exchange services were very popular and productive. This gave me the idea of one of my latest marketing efforts, a blog exchange. This is my first public mention of this concept and I hope people will respect my idea and not steal it. A blog exchange is basically just like a link exchange however instead of rotating links it rotates blog entries. Interested bloggers can simply add a line of javascript into their blog and a new blog entry will be available when the user press refresh. In the future I plan on making categories that people can select to ensure the blogs are appropriate for their site for now my test blog exchange includes random blogs. The benefits of a blog exchange are twofold 1) increases exposure of a blog / product 2) allow blogs to display fresh content.

If you are interested in seeing a demo or helping me test this concept visit the website listed below. If you want your blog added to the rotation simply post to the Blog Exchange Request thread.

I have just purchased this "Blog-Blaster" and I feel such a mug now!!
Basicly it is a rip off... under close scrutiny, the web site claims to have used the software to get a site called "ezinebroadcast" with 1,300 links but I have just checked at google and the site actualy has 4 links.
The software doesnt work and fails to say that it will not post to blogs that have a log in (which is most).
They do not answer any emails and I am now going to try and get a refund from Google.
Please please dont make the mistake I made and buy it!!!!!!

Sorry for sounding cold hearted, But if someone has bought some spam software to spam blogs and feel they have been ripped off i have to say good, I am very happy about that... The more that are ripped off the better.

Especially if after getting ripped off they post about it and help prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Sorry you had to learn the lesson the hard way Scovic, but hopefully it will help others and keep you from making a similar mistake in the future.

ciancomp your idea sounds interesting. I have a question though. The blogsphere is popular in part due to the freshness of the posts. If your idea is to grab random posts wouldn't that also mean you mght be showing posts from years ago?

The reason I ask is that part of why I blog is to hopefully help people with things like seo and in doing so perhaps show potential clients the knowledge and experience I have to back up my claims. Pretending for a moment that I have been blogging for years instead of months you might end up showing a post where I advocated link exchanges much like the one blog-blast has. At one time something like that would have worked and so there could easily be posts from years back recommending it.

If you grabbed that post and presented it with a current date not only would it be bad advice it could potentially hurt my reputation. It's one thing to see a post like that dated 2004 another thing entirely to see it dated 2006.

Will your system be able to deal with something like that where bloggers could limit say either the specific posts or posts prior to a certain date?

Hi All

Phew! Thank God I decided to take a look at blog-blaster using google search, if I hadn't I wouldn't have found this forum.

I had an email offering the programme at half price. It looked promising, but I couldn't understand how it would help me putting a note on someone elses blog?

Now I know it is just another load of junk

I have read every thread of this and feel great to have found you all.

So it's back with my nose to the grindstone making my blogs and pinging them by hand, unless of course there is someone can point me in the direction of a very good pinging machine

Depending on the blogging engine you use it might automatically send out pings anytime you publish a new post. I'm using WordPress and it's built into the system. It comes lising pingomatic by default I think, but you can add as many other ping services as you want.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think blogger will automatically send out pings.

Hi i purchased blogblaster 3 months back i also purchased a new domain and i advertised the URL with only blogblaster.

Now you can guess my results.

3 Months supposedly submitting to 2 million sites i got nil visitors from them.

I seriously got nothing i only purchased for $0.01 from ebay to test so i didn't lose out on anything but this is what it will do for you absolutely nothing.

Yep, another 'mug' here! Purchased a few weeks ago, used tracking url and not one hit after using dozens of different 'keyword' posts. A total SCAM and Sebastian will not answer emails.

I got the promo emails like all of you. Of course it was too good to be true.
For those that tried it - did it even give you a listing of the blogs it allegedly added you to?

We have gotten traffic from popular blogs - but it was unsolicited. The blog authors just liked stuff on our site and linked to it. Unpaid traffic is always a bonus.

people can really delete your posts? wow thats to bad i might of been getting to something that people can use that works - oh well- that was rude - now i remember what the internet is all about - even when you try to help people they spit on you - why? cause they think everything is a scam when they dont make sales - i used the blogblaster and made sales with it - and all of sebastians programs work - especially instantbooster - i used it and made a sale in 5 minutes. the reason why he doesnt answer emails or give refunds is because you bought it and you cant return the program - you can get your money back and still use the program, he doesnt answer emails that scream scam and doesnt work - maybe people didnt want what you were selling - thats usually the case. plus you have to advertise a lot and everyday - not just once. of course nothing works once

Yes of course we can, just like bloggers can when they don't want garbage dumped on their doorstep either!!!!

Dumping your unwanted comments with a link drop on other peoples blogs isn't "advertising", It's simply spamming.
As many of the members here run blogs, this software is NOT something that we (as a forum) would allow links to.
You can extoll it's virtues all you wish if you really want to and of course you must also be prepared to take the negative comments and responses that you will undoubtedly receive.
However linking to this software will NOT be allowed.

If blogblaster was really worth anything it wouldn't be necessary to send me a dozen spam emails every week trying to get me to buy it.

And had Chris not deleted your post I would have as would any moderator here who came across it. It was one of the most obvious cases of spam we see here.

Blog owners don't even get the spam anymore. I'm using spam karma on all my wordpress blogs and it just eats up the useless comments as they come in automatically.

Total waste of time such software.

Cheers, Chris
