Here is a really big list of Article Directories and Press Releases services
Also you can find some at the top who shares their Adsense revenue with writers.

That's one hell of a list, I'll give it that.

But how do we know which ones are the syndicators and which ones grab from the syndication sites as well as submissions to save time?

That's a big list, though I'm not sure how accurate it is - the first couple of article directories I clicked on didn't seem to accept articles
