1. I can earn money using affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are completely wastage of time and resources. Do you know who actually earn huge profit from affiliate programs? Yes its merchants. You probably will get an average of 10-15% if you are lucky. Many affiliate programs offer you small amount called ‘referral fee’, which is a very small amount of money in most cases. They pay you only five cents per click while they earn 30-200$ off that customer, you send to them. Choosing affiliate programs as your primary business is a big sin and one day it will blow you’re a**, no doubt about that.

2. Blogs are the best way to promote my website

Someone said blogs are the best way to market your website or product. It is absolutely nonsense. A blog is just like a website it needs promotion itself. So how can you suppose to use it as your marketing tool? Besides, if you want to make your blog successful you must have to update its content on daily basis. I don’t think as a business owner you should waste your time on this crap.

3. I will write articles for business marketing

In most cases they don’t work. They do market your business only if you write articles for famous websites. Such as

http://www.sitepoint.com
http://www.inetintreactive.com (Not for newbie)
http://www.ezinearticles.com
http://www.planet-source-code.com (Tutorial Writing)

These websites have huge network so chances of your business promotion are bright. These websites have strict rules regarding articles. They will immediately reject your article if you don’t follow their editorial guidelines.

4. I use auto surf programs for website marketing

I just want to say Nooooooooooooooooooo.

5. Ebooks can help in business promotion

Ebooks can help you to promote your business. But this promotion comes with a big price; you need to spend plenty of time on writing this book. Besides, it’s not a guarantee that many people will read your book. However if you really want to distribute your ebook on a large scale don’t forget to submit your book at following websites.

EBOOK LISTING SITES
http://www.free-ebooks.net
http://www.ebooksnbytes.com

Talk to different website owners to add your ebook in their website. They will happily do this. For good results, select only high traffic sites.

Most people have misconception that above tactics works, but in reality, they don’t. Business is not about writing articles, search engine optimization or exchanging links with other websites, it’s beyond that. It is ironic that most people do not understand the soul of the business and marketing and that’s the only cause of so many failures.

I have to disagree with just about everything you say. I'm not sure what you mean by auto surf programs. If you mean programs that automatically submit to search engines then yes I agree about not using them either.

Everything else you say assumes that it won't work because it's not easy. You're right you're not going to make 100% of the sale as an affiliate marketer. Why would you expect to? You're not creating the product or shipping it or supporting it. You're attempting to make the sale. The % most affiliates give seems to be inline with what you would get as a sales commission working for someone else.

If you run a blog of course you need to post to it and often. If you do though you might find that your posts start showing up in search engines as well as blog engines like Technorati. Write good posts and guess what? Other sites might actually link to them. A blog can let you be more personal with potential customers establishing trust in ways your site can't. Depending on what you write about you can also set yourself up as an expert in your business further establishing trust in yourself, your products, and your services.

Sure it's better to get articles on very good sites the same way it's better for your career to write an article for the New York Times or the Washington Post than it is to write one for the local Penny Saver. That doesn't mean the Penny Saver article is bad or you shouldn't write for them. Might even give you you a reference for when you do try to write that Post and Times article later. When you submit articles you know what happens? People download the article and put it on their sites. If you included a link back to your site in your article then you'll have more sites out there linking to yours which will help you in search engines. Write some good articles and people will also click on the link because they're curious what other articles you may have written or what else you have to say.

No one said writing an ebook is easy. But if you do write one it can prove to be a valuable marketing tool. Add some links inside and you'll probably find you get more traffic to your site. Write a good ebook and give it away freely on your site and you might find other sites linking to that page because they think the ebook will be a valuable reseource for their visitors. Here's an idea. After you write some quality articles for your blog put them together and create an ebook.

Just about everything you say above is based on the belief that no one is willing to work at anything. If you don't put in effort then no online marketing will work. Marketing is about getting the word out about your site and your business to the people who might be interested and presenting it in a light that makes those people want to buy your products or sevrices. Most of that tactics that you don't think will work can do just that.

I agree with your conclusions & statements completely. The trick, in business, is to get others to separate from their money for some perceived value that will make giving up that money in the first place worth it to them in the first place. It works best for Google because Google charges their clients first and then spins off peanuts to others for the pleasure of allowing traffic to be gathered by supplying easy advertising space.

It would be far more beneficial to make original deals with the advertisers and to cut Google out of the mix. It just requires harder work &/or incentives to salesman.
