Do people pay more attention to animated ads or idle ones? I don't have a problem with space for text/graphics, so I don't need it to be animated - just want to know if one is better then the other.

(And, I don't have any easy animation programs on Linux

)

depends basically..

if its an expert user, he may not bother with ads unless he sees really something interesting..

novice ppl, tend to click on animated banners more than static ones.
