The idea sounds great, but for some reason there are not too many folks contributing. There could be a lot more people willing to enter the contest if you allowed people to post articles that have already been posted elsewhere.
The current terms stating that the articles will become property of InternationalRevenue discourage those who have the same article posted on their websites and so on. I understand you want to get something in exchange for the money you are paying as prize money, but asking for authors to voluntarily release all ties to their articles may be a bit too much. I'd claimed the right to use the article, but not the complete ownership if I were you guys.
