what do you think about the free packages
G Analytics
Statcounter
and the likes ?

Are they easily cheated with automatic traffic generators ?

Perhaps, I think it's possible to write such programs, but you gotta be able to hack your ISPs

.

I use statcounter and it's quite safe, only counting someone unique if they don't have a specific cookies stored on their PCs. It also display which country that guy is from so you'll be certain someone spamming when you discover you get lots of uniques from that country in any period.

All people have to do is put the same counter script on multiple sites. All stats will be combined.
