Choose a topic area that you have an interest in and start writing about it and update it regularly. If people like what you post you may start to get inbound links from other blogs. There is no reliable solution to getting traffic "fast", I would suggest concentrating on writing good readable and interesting content.

Search engines will find you so long as you have other sites linking to you. You can submit it to any search engine manually if you want but it's not really necessary.

Up to you, submitting to a few blog directories won't hurt but don't expect mega traffic from them.

Doing every post is a bit of a waste in my opinion, if you have written sonething fresh or controversial then try it. Everyday posts about nothing in particular won't get noticed on Digg etc. |
What about plugins for Wordpress? do you recommend any specific plugins?
