"Making money on the internet" is about as general as "Make money in the USA"
Figure out how you want to make money:
1. Run a content site and make money from ads.
2. Run an internet shop and make money from sales.
3. Buy expired domains and try to make money from residual traffic.
4. Buy and sell on eBay (no site required!  )
5. Learn SEO/Website promotion and charge sites a lot of money to be #1 in Google!
6. Create a rabid/super popular/hot blog/internet persona and rake in sponsorships and endorsements.
