If you don't think that one is good, does anyone have any suggestions for a good advertising campaign that will get me fast results? For under $100.
I am already doing AdWords, but it isn't working too well.
Thanks.

For a site that claims to be able to send a lot of traffic to you they haven't managed to get Google to cache their home page in close to 2 months. I'm going to say it's not a good idea.
Actually I think all these kind of send a lot of traffic for little money sites are a waste of time. Even if they do send traffic it's not going to be any kind of useful traffic.
If it were that easy and cheap to get traffic a lot more people would have traffic.
When you say AdWords isn't working well what exactly is the problem? Are you not getting traffic or is the traffic you are getting not buying anything once they get to your site? Is the site the one in your signature?

Sites like this - offering large quantities of visitors cheap - often send very bad traffic. If you ARE going to use them (or any other similar service) I would advice you to start with only a very small amount, to see what it does for you.
Check the referring pages, to see you are not paying for traffic generated by software (a.k.a paid-to programs or autosurfs). This traffic is worth nothing, and you do NOT want to pay for it.
That being said, there are services of good quality, the trick is to find them. But, as the poster above states, the lack of PR and presence in google makes this alternative seem less appealing.

Thanks for both of your helpful replies!
I will not be going with them, then.

If you're getting a lot of impressions, but not many clicks then it's probably that the ad needs to be rewritten. People are seeing it, but for whatever reason the copy in the ad isn't convincing them to click.

I have seen offers like this in the past, generally they work for getting faked traffic for turning around and selling ads on your site. It wont help your rank much.

OK, thanks!
What other ways of advertising on the net would you guys suggest.
I am SEO'd, because I bought vBSEO, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks guys!

AJ you can never be SEOd because seo isn't something that ends. What you purchased from vBulletin will probably help, but please don't think it means you're done.
Everything you've been asking about here with links is part of seo. What you've done with vBSEO is made the forum software more spiderable and help with duplicate content issues, but it's far from everything. In fact they make a couple of claims on the sales page that quite honestly aren't really possible.
I'm not saying it's not good software. As far as I know it's good and will help. I just want you to know you're not done.

I agree, SEO never ends that is why I like to do it every day. Its a constant challenge yet reachable in the same way! Each site and its competition is different. Some sites need very little work done to them to rank well. While others need lots of work!
Traffic exchange is not real traffic most of the time. Its generally just to up your visit count so that you can sell advert space. But this is not fair to those buying the space as its not real traffic for them. Many schemes have been tried in the past. But I would rather do whats right and get real traffic that matters!

Shannon I agree. I think people fall for the traffic exchanges because technically they give you traffic that makes your stats look nice. The problem like you say it's not useful traffic. I think even if you do manage to sell advertising space it won't take the advertisers long to realize they get no traffic or sales from your site so even that gain is probably short lived.

Yeah, so a good alternative to traffic exchange is to well get real traffic. You may ask well how do I do that. Well that I will write a article on soon. I think its something thats much needed in todays SEO! I will post a link when I have it done.

these guys get you traffic from webmasters who join traffic exchange programs. Personally i truied it once and all i did is leave the comp. open and thats it - i had 500 visits in a day for free - but 520 pageviews - meaning that those ppl are not worth anything.

Roy77, you may have had visits and thats great! ( But its not real traffic that counts. Our of that 500 maybe 5 were willing to look at what your site really was) thats the only point I'm making. Article will be posted soon on <link drop removed> under SEO tips ( Right Hand Corner)

Thanks for your help guys!
I will be looking for other (quality) ways to promote my site. I have already submitted to like 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 directories.
Well, thanks a lot! You're really helpful!

Thanks, that was helpful.
One more thing. I used this service - blastengine.com. I don't know if it is a scam or not because they say they submit my site to over 1 million directories. That being said, I did not see any jump in spider activity at all. Is this a scam or does it take time?

It's not necessarily a scam, but it's unlikely to work. AJ if you want to gain search visibility you have to stop looking for quick and easy results. If someone is advertising that they'll submit to 'x' number of anything it's more than likely not going to help at all.
Think about it for a minute. If a company could submit your site to a million directories as easily as they say then they could also be doing the same for your competition. In fact if it was that easy then every site that practices seo would do the same. If all those sites were optimized that way why would one stand out from the others? Why would it rank better when every other site has also submitted to those same million+ directories.
Yes directory submission is part of a link building campaign, but ultimately you're looking to get links from sites that will be hard for your competition to replicate. You want links from sites that are hard to get. You'll need to work harder to get those links, but that's the point. The harder it is for you to get them the harder it will be for your competition to get them too and the less likely they will get those links.
