I've very unclear of what is considered a good amount of traffic... currently I do no advertising other than word of mouth and I have no adsense or any form of ads on my website. I'm currently getting about 800 visitors a days with approximately 30K pageviews..... anyone know a good rule of thumb of good amount of traffic or anything?

I know the visitors/pageviews is a strange ratio... the site is a game

Theres no real amount that is good traffic. it depends on the site, the age of the site and previous traffic. You should look at the growth of traffic rather than visitors for any one period.

It depends on the site. A site selling a high end product that gets 10 visitors a day and one of them buys is probably doing well. A site that generates revenue through AdSense that only gets 1% CTR and $0.05 per click needs a lot more traffic.

I'd say 30,000 page views a day is a good amount of traffic. The important thing is that there's more to having a successful site than traffic.

I agree with vangogh. Traffic numbers can be manipulated depending on the motivation of the publisher (monetize the traffic, looking to get bought, increase user base etc). If want lots of "traffic" buy impression based. Then watch as your pageviews and time on site plummet. I think its a combination of all of those elements
