I have this website, orandysoftware.com, which I set up to showcase some developed some projects. Now, I feel I don't get much much visits (about 30-70 unique from statcounter) and want to increase it.

Could you recommend some good web service to drive interested visitors to my site.

BTW, from the Google ads, I got about 1-2 clicks per about 100 visitors. Is this good and worth investing on paid advertising services?

I think SEO is the way to go for your site.

This means optimising your website for the search engines (mainly Google, Yahoo and MSN). This can be hard to do but brings high amounts of traffic to your website from the search engines.

However it isn't very cheap (unless you can do it yourself) but it brings a lot of targeted traffic to your site over a long period.

SEO brings in more traffic usually, as the organic results get more clicks than advertisements. SEO usually takes a good while to take effect though depending on the status of the existing site, so PPC/Pay Per Clicks are often worthwhile as the SEO takes effect. Also, there always are those that prefer to or will click advertisements, so PPC is often suggested.

I'm working on PPC advertisements currently and had tried Stumbleupon. Unfortunately, it's not delivering quality visitors as most of them are attracted to flash sites.

Could you recommend me some good PPC sites?

How do you use stumble for advertising? That sounds bad to me, and probably a waste of time too.

SEO is the key...they'll do an on-page and off-page optimization to your site for it to be more Search Engine friendly and they'll put your site on the SERPs and that way you'll get traffic on such targeted keywords...

SEO is the way to go, but it takes time and a lot of effort, non stop for the most part. you can get some traffic by some good PPC advertising in the time being!

Really seo is what you need, there are lots of seo companies around here, find the one with the reasonable pricing and good review, have a look at 1-Hit.com, they provide the complex marketing plan for the site promotion or you can use their tips and tools for do-it-yourself seo.

Submit your software applications to the hundreds of software
directories (like download.com) that are out there. Not only will
you get plenty of high PR backlinks, but you'll pick up traffic
too.

SEO is smoke and mirrors and with the changes Google is making it will be even harder to make current SEO practices work. Dont wast your money on the "IF" of SEO. Take heed to some of the other suggestions mentioned. You will save a lot of money. Oh and stumbleupon? WTF?

Real SEO certainly isn't.
Only the "practices" carried out by the charlatans, incompetents and self styled "experts" of the SEO industry are the ones that will fail.

The aim and work of a genuine SEO, which is to improve the site for all visitors, human and robot alike, will continue to keep a site earning it's keep long after the work has been scaled back or even ceased.

you can post to classifieds to get more visitors and do SEO.thus this can improve your positions in SERPs and at the same time generate more visitors for your site
