That's a lot like how gambling works. You pay people to make winning bets, and then the mark sees all this money changing hands, makes a bet of his own, and looses. In most of the world this is illegal. Marketing something without telling people its your own product probably isn't illegal in many places, but it's just as immoral. And when people find out, expect a backlash.
