Lets share some unconventional marketing tips!

Some ideas:

-- Not new, but still a very viable marketing! Check out http://www.workoninternet.com/article_500.html. Ads sent via an ecard site made a return of 85%.

-- Content is king and humor is contagious:-) Add a daily/weekly/monthly cartoon or animation:-) It is a proven success tactic!

Any other ideas?

I used to have a list of what features make a sticky website but here are the ones I can remember:
-polls
-contests
-forums

For marketing my website I:
-submit to directories
-request link exchanges
-participate in forums and use a signiture
-writing articles (my favorite)

thevirus you're dead on. Forum sig links are good, directories are even better. Check out our list of directories. Submit to as many as you can or apply to you.
