Hi everyone. I'm David from NC. I have no prior computer knowledge before starting this project. I have a very new site online for single christians. Currently the site is free so I don't wish to shell out hundreds of dollars in advertising for it. http://www.christiansinglesdepot.com/index.html Anyone here ever dabble in the dating site industry before? Any suggestions as to how to market a site such as this inexpensively and not too time demanding?

Thanks.

try the 'normal' seo's methods of articles and content, backlinking as well as content rich website. Have that it will market itself if the target market is there

maybe give a shoutout to www.techcrunch.com they normally cover new and upcoming web2.0 sites. So if your website is web2.0 go ahead and give a shoutout to them. they have reviewed some dating sites in the past.

Cheers

make sure your site is stable if you're going to submit to techcrunch. they're a critical bunch if something goes wrong.

Have you tried some offline marketing? It's an old idea I know, but if you really don't want to spend much, and target your market specifically, try creating a bit of a local 'buzz'. It can be surprising how quickly word of mouth can have an effect on your sales!
