Hi......

I would like to set up a "user forum" on my web site (cake decorating, candy making and soap making supplies). The idea is a forum where visitors can exchange relevent ideas and information on cake decorating, etc.

I'm not an html, php, etc expert, so it would either have to be fairly simply software and/or have tech help readily available.

Any suggestions? I get about 2000 visitors/day.

Thanks!!

Hi Joe

I would follow Criper2000 advice and use phpbb. You might find you are able to install it form your main control panel of your hosting account. The nice thing is that it is fairly easy to install.
If you have problems please contact me at support@007-webhosting.co.uk
(I'm sorry for the advert guys and this offer is with no strings attached and is open to anyone and not meant as a free plug)

I used VBulliten for my forums and have been very pleased with everything.

i just got phpbb myself and it's everyting I've always wanted in a board.

ipower.net offers it as a part of their hosting package and it's already set up.

Question though - does anybody know if search engines (like, um, um, um, GOOGLE!) are able to index the content in discusson forrums? I've heard some do and some don't?
