For future reference, I suggest everyone read this article

My Digg Account

Sites Experimenting with: www.qskglobal.com and www.techomg.com

Day One:

-Dugg all items on the front page and looked at the stories' authors and added 20 to my Friends List. I then proceeded to digg all the stories those friends had on their first page on their profiles.
-Within the first two hours I noticed 3 of those friends had done the same thing and dugg many stories I had submitted.

Day Two:

-Once again Dugg all items on the front page, but this time, I looked to see what stories and who's stories my current friends were digging. I then added all popular story makers and proceeded to digg their first page of submitted items.
-A few hours later, I came back and submitted a new article from my site, TechOMG. This time, only one of my friends returned the favor.

I recommend submitting your stories around 5-8 PM, I've noticed more and more people are on at that time and willing to digg your items. Well, I'll update this thread at the end of today with my day 3 results. Wish me luck and throw me a digg or two and a friend request if you support me

I am not quite in favor of reciprocal diggs . I might work out a few times . But not every time . To rank well on Digg or get Dugg frequently it requires a study of the demographics of the Digg users . I was reading an interview with Neil patel the CTO of Pronet Advertising where he gives some great pointers to do well on Digg

1) Digg users are mostly teens and young adults
2) They are quite technical
3) Any story featuring microsoft gets dugg straight away.. ditto for George Bush
4) Gigg users adore Google and Appl

Doesn't reciprocal digging completely defeat the object of Digg? I mean it's supposed to be a sort of internet democracy which is unbiased and fair (well SUPPOSED to be). So reciprocal digging is idiotic, unfair and may even get you banned! (I hope you do if you try to manipulate the system )

I agree completely . Building traffic organically is the only way to allow the best content to come to the top . Gaming Digg has certainly taken way much of the sheen from it, as compared to a few months ago .Many die-hard Digg users I know have actually gone to reddit.com precisely because too many people were trying to game Digg
