I just aquired a Dating web site, I dont know much about it but I think I could make it work, I dont have much money, I work 40 hours a week but I would like it if someone coulod point me in the right direction. I need traffic. I want to add affiliate sites ppc and generate income but I need visitors.

Adding those two together = failure

unless you are willing to work hard at it for more than 40 hours a week for the next 3 or 4 years. You are already 5 years (at least) behind the game on dating sites.

Create a promotion system so that people get in free / cheaper for a limited amount of time. Visit blogs, forums and other similar resources and introduce your offers in relevant sections without attempting to spam.
