I need to set my eraser tool, so it is easy to cut out some images in PSP7. Anybody recommend any good settings?

It depends on what you want to do. I like to reduce the HARDNESS setting to soften it up. I mainly use the SIZE attribute, obviously to adjust to the task at hand. I usually leave the STEP at 1 and DESNITY and THICKNESS at 100 and ROTATION at 0. I do sometimes play with the OPACITY depending on whether I want to completely wipe something out or just soften it up some.

Unfortunately David, if the graphic is intricate I will do all of erasing by hand around the edges. PSP 8 is a little better at erasing but I still revert back to PSP7.

I used to have some good settings for the eraser tool which used to do the trick perfectly although I recently reformatted my computer so my settings we reset back to default.

If the background is in a good contrast from what you want, then psp8 or 9 has a background eraser tool that works like a charm.
