Hello all... I've got a quick question that I hope isn't too hard to figure out. My friend wanted me to help him make a site. I haven't had any problems until now. He gave me this FLV video file that he wants on the site and I'm not quite sure how to embed this. I tried using dreamweaver by going to Insert>media>flash video> and inserting the proper file. When I preview in browser it works perfectly but when I upload and try to view online it doesn't show up or even ask to download a plugin. Any help would be great!

The FLV is the source file you need to make it into a SWF, which will require Adobe (MacroMedia) Flash.

Not so.
FLV files are Flash Video files, like those YouTUBE uses.
These can be viewed in your browser without any further processing.
The Flash file extension for projects which haven't been compiled is .FLA.

I don't use Flash (Adobe doesn't even offer any Flash authoring tools for Linux really other than basic Flex compiling tools), so I don't think I;ll be much help here.

One thing to test is whether you're using the full path to the flash file or a relative path.
If you're using a relative path, then I don't know what's wrong, but if it's the full path, be sure to change it before uploading, or it'll be looking for files on the end-users PC rather than on the server.
It might seem silly, but Dreamweaver isn't perfect when it comes to generating sensible code.
