I am looking for a counter that will count days of successful specimen pick-ups. I work for lab in Hawaii and one of our tools of measurement is to count our days of pick-ups. I have little knowledge HTML coding and any help would be very appreciated. I have seen a lot of counters that counts down the days, but what I am looking for is something opposite, like a count up. I would also appreciate if the counter was customizable. Mahalo (thank you).

This wouldn't be done with Javascript, but rather with a server-side code, like PHP or ASP.

This could be done on the client - but it depends on how your interface is designed - if you are using alot of AJAX - you might do this on the client - but you always would want to validate the result on the server. Just from the tennor of your post though im guessing not alot of AJAX in your design.

What does the user have to do... or the system - to record a specimen pick up? Is this an automatic result of someother action?

The key thing will be what is the "trigger" for you to know you need to "count up" the next specimen - if you can describe that in more detail I can try to give you a more considered answer.
