Great, that fixed the problem.. except there's a new problem. If the page is loaded with the checkbox ticked, the problem I was having before occurs. To test, check the box and reload the page with it ticked

add;

<script type="text/javascript">
TextBoxes(document.forms["testform"].elements["showparts"],document.forms["testform"].name);
</script>

after the closing body or html tag.

That sorts the new problem but the old problem is back

Where you untick the box and it doesn't disappear, if you tick it again it ads another layer of the hidden inputs, so at that point you have two of the same thing.

add on bit should have been;

works for starting off checked or unchecked.
