And even possibly switch the icon and text around? http://sharethis.com/publisher?type=stapi Shows how you can customize the button, but honestly I don't understand a lot of it. Thanks.

It doesn't matter whether a link is generated by JavaScript or not, it can still be styled with CSS, like so:
