I found a script to accomplish this but the javascript needs to be attached to image maps which are already going to a link, using the <href tag. My script uses an <a href tag. <a href="index.htm" onmouseover="Tip('Some text')" onmouseout="UnTip()">Homepage </a> When I put the this after my first link in the source code, I get a tooltip appearing already but instead of the text I want to appear, I get the URL from my first link appearing as the tooltip.
I'm not sure this script is right in the first place. I'd be happy to hire someone to do this for me! Anybody out there interested?

You can use my tooltip script if you like: Tooltip Plugin It is free, though it does require jQuery. You do need to know a little about CSS to understand it. Not many people I know take jobs as small as making a tooltip work.

I don't know if you're referring to my script, but yes, it is quite easy with mine, all you do is either pass it an ID, or className, then style it externally, put an <img> tag into the {content: ""} property, or pass a reference to a background image through the {style: {}} object. Read the documentation.
