I set up a jquery div slider, but I need a transition (fade out/in) instead of the slide.
This is the script I used. http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...epcarousel.htm

Assume I know almost nothing when making suggestions please.
Can this script be modified or do you know of another one that fits my needs?

You can see the idea here. http://geekspecialties.com/test/

Thanks

When I need a slide which only has a single frame to transition, I always use the Cycle Plugin: http://malsup.com/jquery/cycle/

It's a bit large for just a fade, but it will work, and I've never had a problem with slow performance. A fade transition is one of the many choices.

Thanks for that script. I switched to the cycle plugin, but now i can't seem to get rid of the scrollbars. If I make the container big enough the scrolling goes away but leaves greyed out scroll bars.

Any ideas on this?

Here is the test page I set up.

In your main-02.css file on line 150 you have a set of rules for the .stepcarousel class, with an overflow: scroll rule. Remove that rule and it should be fine.
