what i want to do is import a image at a location on a webpage, and ither move it or let it overlap the current images already on the webpage

As a vague anser to a fairly vague question. You get the ID of the element and reposition it by setting the top and left postions.

if you want it to "overlap" over elements, you would set it as position:absolute with a high z-index.
