I am pretty new with Java and am running into some problems with a css/java pop-up getting overlapped by a flash video.

What I would like to have happen is when you click on "contact" in the menu it pulls up a java pop up window (ideally very clean and borderless) and it will ask you to choose one of two contact pages.

The problem I am running into is that the Flash Video will not be overlapped. I have tried changing the wmode on the video and it is not doing anything for me. When "contact us" is clicked it should dim the flash video like the rest of the page.

This may also be a z-index issue but I am not sure.

Any suggestions would be great. I am also open to an alternative pop-up window that might work as well.

Try adding one of the following parameters to your flash program, then try setting the Z-Index.

As for Java applets, I think they're working on this in Java 1.7.
