I wasn't sure what thread to put this in so I went here. If I have 3 text fields. When I type something in the first text field how do I auto fill the last 2 with the same entry and still have control over the last 2 fields.

stored procedures,, I'm not sure all I want to do is have the 3 fields show the same content but still have control over them if they need to be changed. So I'm still thinking stored procedures

Ok I'm going to keep asking question until there is enough info to actually come up with a workable idea.

What DB event is going to fire the SP? or is it going to be called from a query.

Or you get fed up and actually tell us what EXACTLY you need to do.

There are many ways of accomplishing what you asked for some are more efficient than others.

There you are just the one answer needed

javascript.

HTML Code:
<form name="frm1" action="URL" method="post">
<input name="fld1" onblur="fillFields(this.value)" value="">
<input name="fld2" value="">
<input name="fld3" value="">
</form>
Code:
<script type="javascript">
function fillFields(val) {
document.frm1.fld2.value = val;
document.frm1.fld3.value = val;
}
</script>
it's very easy when you get the right information.
