I have a dropdown box and I'd like to have it such that if the mouse goes over one option, more options appear... is that possible?

EXAMPLE:

Test 1
Test 2

When mouse moves over "Test 1" a new set of options appears

Test 1
>blah
>blah
>blah
Test 2

Check out w3schools.com. They have many javascript examples, and I believe that this is very similar to one of them.

Why not just use the optgroup tag for what it is intended?

Behaves perfectly in Firefox and SeaMonkey.

Doesn't work at all in IE8 and presumably lower. No surprises there then! but does leave it as it would be "normally"

Opera and Chrome set the sub options as hidden in the list, but Chrome will show them when selected??
