Hi I have been looking into a way to have a review form on my site so visitors can submit reviews of guitar related equipment for other visitors to view.

I can create the form page OK it’s just the scripting and code needed to create a new webpage automatically on my website with all the details from the form displayed on it.

I have looked into PHP and I'm starting to get to grips with it but I think what I'm looking to do is way off at the mo but was wondering if it is possible to do a similar thing using java and could anybody point me to help sites or are their free programs that can do this.

I would ask if anybody would help with the scripting on here but don't want to sound cheeky. As I said I'm very new to all this and my site is just a hobby. I am coming up with ideas to improve my site but didn't realise how hard it would be.

Cheers

javascript is a clientside scripting technology so cannot access database servers.

Thanks Chris.

You must be getting sick of my questions but it does all help with this steep learning curve.

To access database servers you need to use server-side scripting language. you can use php. you can easily find php contact forms for free download on the internet.
