The ipad browser starts to dispaly the fading in images, like you see them start to fade in, then stop. Then they just vanish. And you can't even click on the links there tied to.

Works in FF
Works in IE 7-8-9
Works Safari PC / Mac
Does not work in safari on the ipad.

Any reasons why it would not display the data? Or a fix for this?

Running multiple tests and no luck.

Its strange as it works properly on everything else, just not that. And I was to the understanding the Safari was the browser of the ipad...

Just standard JQUERY Fadein
Code:
$(document).ready(function(){

    $('#page_effect').fadeIn(2000);

});

No idea personally, don't use jquery, ever, and even if I did I don't have a iPad to test on.

Other than that, how about a URL so the people with one, t'other or both can test it?

All a jQuery fade does is gradually change the opacity of an element over a certain amount of time. So I wonder if maybe there is something else going on, as the fadeIn is very straightforward.

If I were you, I would set up a very simple test case and see if you can reproduce the issue with a minimal amount of code, a page with nothing else going on but a single fade on a single image. Then slowly add other elements that are on your page if the problem doesn't reoccur. This is a common way of debugging a problem when you are faced with an unfamiliar environment.
