hi

is there a jquery plugin that will enable me to pass it a url of a image so the image can the be written to my server.

I don't want to enable any type of file selection i will have the url of where the image is by http

So ie I have a image

: http://www.site.com/images/image.jpg

And i want to copy that image to my server

Only on the same hostname the script runs on, as browsers block cross site scripting, and "AJAX" requires a server side script to communicate with.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what exactly would be the point of javascript running in the context domain 'A' being able to upload to domain 'A' from domain 'A'?

I want to get Image A (url) from server 1 and move it to server 2.

dont really have to use ajax or jquery i just need to get the image from the other server by url

i control the one i want to copy the image to but not the other.
Im basically wanting to pull of a facebook album image after a user has selected one and then copy it to the server

Well unless Facebook will add your remote script to run in the context of facebook that isn't going to happen.

So now I'll just refer you back to your original question of Uload image by url.
