HI everyone.

I want to create my own cntrl S function which i have done in the below way


e = jQuery.Event("keydown");
e.which = 83;
e.ctrlKey = true;

if (e.ctrlKey && e.keyCode == 83) {
alert ("Save Restaurant");
}

BUT the defail Cntrl S ( save page ) always kicks in.

Could someone please help me in showing me how i surpress this plesae.

As chris said in your previous thread, have you tried returning false?

Actually, have a look at this little handy jQuery plugin instead. Found it by searching for "jquery ctrl s" on google...
