Hello all!

I'm in the process of completing a site for a client, however, he would like the dropdown menu to be at the bottom of the page.

At the moment, the site looks like this: http://www.chester-street.com/

I said that I thought menus the bottom were not favourable because they menu might end up being off the screen at the bottom.

Therefore, he compromised and will have the menu at the top of all the pages, except the initial page (index.php)

My question is, there an way to embed the menu in the HTML a the bottom of the page, and have the menu options going upwards? All of the menus I have worked with have been aligned vertically by putting a Vertical align varibale in the code (eg 200px from the top). This obviously doesn't work, because everyone's screens are a different height.

Can anyone tell me if it will be possible to do this, and can they recommend a free menu which will complete this task for me.

Many thanks
Hamish

Drop menus like the one you can build here: http://www.searchbliss.com/webmaster...-down-menu.htm will automaticaly display upwards when there is no room at the bottom. This may be your best bet if you must have the menu at the bottom.

kline11 is right. From the look at your code you are using the HV Menu from Dynamic Drive, which I used on a website several years back and I know it will shift 3rd level menus left if there is no room on the right. You should be able to just place the menus in a div where you want at the bottom and see if they will open upwards instead of down. You might also check the configuration file and any info associated with the menus to see if the author mentioned anything.

Hope that helps,

however, I still need a way with the HV menu to make the menu sit a the very bottom of a page. Basically, anchored to the bottom of the page.

As I said, the best that HV can do it X pixels from the top/bottom. This will be dependant on the person's resolution/screensize.

Is it possibly that there is not way to make a menu go at the very bottom of the page?
