Hey is there a way for a user to basically save his/hers settings on the site so next time they visit. They keep those settings. Like just say i have a site with 3 different designs/colours and the person selects one when they enter the site. How do i make it so the browser remembers there selection so next time they visit they dont have to click on the same design it just remembers what they selected last time and continues to my main site

cookies are used for that. basically it'll store a small unintrusive file on the users pc and your site can save info to it and use whats stored in it each time the user visits..


what language are you using?

or you have a database with the settings in and set a cookie with the user ID

use javascript and cookies in that case
